The principles for processing personal data at www.estoniancasting.com and your rights concerning your own personal data are explained here. These principles do not apply to the processing of data by legal entities or other agencies and do not include the processing of personal data on websites that are not affiliated with us and that are linked to on our website through external web links.

General provisions

  • This privacy policy regulates the principles of collection, processing, and storage of personal data. Personal data is processed and stored by CUBA FILMS OÜ, registry code 12060823, address Peetri tn 11, 10415 Tallinn, who is the controller of the personal data (hereinafter the controller or Estonian Casting).
  • For the purposes of this privacy policy, a data subject means the user or another natural person whose personal data is processed by the controller.
  • For the purposes of this privacy policy, a user means anyone who interacts with services on the controller’s website (hereinafter the Estonian Casting).
  • The controller observes the principles relating to personal data processing provided by legislation and, among other things, processes personal data in a lawful, fair, and secure manner. The controller is able to declare that personal data has been processed in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

Collection, processing, and storage of personal data

  • The personal data collected, processed, and stored by the controller has been collected electronically, mainly via the website and email.
  • By sharing their personal data, the data subject grants the controller the right to collect, arrange, use and administer, for the purpose defined in the privacy policy.
  • The data subject is liable for the accuracy, correctness, and integrity of the data submitted by them. The submission of knowingly false data is regarded as a breach of the privacy policy. The data subject is required to immediately notify the controller of any changes in the data submitted.
  • The controller is not liable for any damage or loss caused to the data subject or a third party as a result of the submission of false data by the data subject.

Processing of personal data of users

The controller may process the following personal data of the data subject:

  • first name and last name
  • gender
  • special categories of personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin(Mother tongue, language skills, eye colour, hair colour, race, length, weight, clothing size, shoe size, special skills and peculiarities)
  • contact details (telephone number, e-mail address)
  • personal identification code
  • other demographic information and information in the form of free text that you have entered into Estonian Casting
  • personal information available (if any) submitted by Customers and/ or Users, such as your image or sound if it is included on the data carrying media submitted by you via Estonian Casting
  • account login details, including user name(s), company ID and similar, passwords

How are personal data processed?

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

  • to create an account for you to use the Estonian Casting and services
  • manage any account(s) that you hold with us
  • verify your identity and ensure that our customers are genuine
  • detect and/or prevent crime or fraud, and related purposes
  • comply with Estonian Casting’s other legal obligations
  • users of the Estonian Casting website, so that we can provide online services and compile statistics for the website
  • personalise your experience with Estonian Casting

In addition to the foregoing, the controller has the right to collect data about the users that are available in public registers.

Sending personal data to third parties

Estonian Casting may send the personal data of a data subject to third parties without the consent of the data subject

  • if Estonian Casting has a legal obligation to send on the personal data
  • or if the third party has signed a contract with Estonian Casting and is using the data on behalf of Estonian Casting for a specific purpose or job.

Such third parties may be located outside the Republic of Estonia, the European Union or the European Economic Area. If we send your personal data to such parties we take all the necessary legal measures to make sure your rights to privacy are fully complied with.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to personal data. It is our goal to always keep personal data secure and respect all privacy rights. We will always handle personal data fairly and legally and are committed to being transparent about the data we collect and how we use it.

We recommend that you:

  • keep your account passwords private
  • change your password often
  • do not use the same password for multiple accounts, applications or websites.

STORING YOUR DATA

  • Personal data is stored as long as it is necessary to fulfil the specific purpose for which personal data is processed
  • Due to the obligation to organize accounting, personal data reflected in accounting documents are stored for up to 7 years from the end of the financial year when the accounting document was issued, drawn up or enforced

Your rights

Everyone has the right to information on how their personal data is processed. To receive such information, please contact us at info@cuba.ee.

If we refuse to release data or give information on the processing of personal data, we are required to give our reasons. We will inform you of any refusal within five working days of receiving your request to release data.

Everyone has the right to request that we correct personal data that we hold on them. To do so, please contact us at info@cuba.ee.

If Estonian Casting no longer has a legal basis for using your personal data, you may request that we stop using those data or delete them. If we process your personal data with your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent.

Processing the data of visitors to the Estonian Casting website

The website of Estonian Casting processes the visitor’s IP address or other network identifiers to provide the website service and to generate statistics on the use of the website to help develop it and make it more user-friendly. The email addresses of subscribers to Estonian Casting newsletters are processed so we can send them the newsletters. To subscribe to an Estonian Casting newsletter, you need to enter your email address in the sign-up form and choose which newsletter you want to receive. Estonian Casting only collects this information in order to send you the newsletter you have ordered to your email address. We store your data until you state that you want to cancel your subscription to the newsletter. Once you cancel your subscription we stop processing your data.

The Estonian Casting website uses the Google Analytics web analysis service, which we use to collate metadata about the use of our site. The Google Analytics data show for example the geographical location of visitors, the web browser and the version of the operating system they use, the time and length of the visit, and the pages visited and how they move between them. We receive the data in anonymised form so we cannot see who they are, and we use the information we receive to make our website more user-friendly.

Some pages of the Estonian Casting website may use cookies[1] from third parties like Google, YouTube or Meta, and their use is not regulated by Estonian Casting. Please note that the cookies of third parties are subject to the personal data processing policies of those parties, for which Estonian Casting is in no way responsible.
